2. I don't know anyone. Will I feel awkward?

We are a small group, no more than sixteen including staff. Sunday activities begin with games to acquaint everyone. Much of what we do on the river is a team effort. Living and working with staff and peers in such a unique and exciting environment allows for unexpected and meaningful friendships to develop quickly.

It is a variety at dinner. Past dinners have included spaghetti, chicken gumbo, chili, soup, and grilled chicken. Lunches are peanut butter and jelly, tuna fish, fruit, and humus. 4. Where will we sleep?

In a variety of places, but the two most common are camping in tents on sandbars along the river and the flat bluffs above the river.

5. I have never been camping. Will I be comfortable?

We provide each camper with a sleeping bag and pad to sleep upon and a tent to escape insects. It is Florida in the summer, but many nights are cooler than one may imagine. Much of comfort comes down to preparation (the right gear,) responsibility (keeping your gear dry, clean, etc.,) and your attitude.
